National Consultation on Scaling Financial Inclusion
The 17th Skoch Summit BFSI, 10th – 11th June 2008, Mumbai, saw knowledge sharing emerging as a critical catalyser in meeting the goals of inclusive growth.The key content of the two-day Summit included:
- Enhancing Revenue through Better CRM
- Financial and Government Applications – Interoperability is the Key
- Technology Standards for Financial Inclusion
- Changing e-Security Paradigm
Additionally, the Summit featured the following:
- National Consultation on Inclusive Insurance
- National Consultation on Scaling Inclusion
On the occasion of the power-packed two-day summit, knowledge repositories prepared by Skoch were released for wider dissemination.
The Ist Knowledge Repository of Indian Open Source Technologies was presented as a special issue of India@ Work magazine. The Repository is based on the primary research conducted across 200 projects covering digital, social and financial inclusion and secondary research of another 500-odd projects. Release of some of these case studies as Knowledge Repository in print as well as video is an ongoing capacity building activity at Skoch.
Furthermore, Mr C B Bhave, Chairman, SEBI released a book titled ‘Infrastructure and Governance’which presents the views of experts, policy makers and practitioners on the subject. It seeks to deepen the understanding of policy making, implementation on the ground and the tasks ahead with regard to infrastructure and governance.
